Verified Botswana facts
Give each part of a Botswana borrowing decision a visible use-by event so stale prices, channels or schedules cannot survive into signing.
Evidence and limits
A usable card shows the responsible issuer, the material actually seen, its date and the event that requires replacement.
Questions before signing
A plausible old fee, repayment date or transfer route can remain on a worksheet after the issuing institution has revised it.
Decision worksheet
Create the expiry calendar, replace triggered cards through authenticated channels and reconcile the final BWP papers before commitment.
Write the exact claim each clock must test
Write exactly what the note is supposed to establish: legal identity observed, product wording displayed, currency context stated, channel described or personal term issued. Broad labels such as verified lender or current loan are too vague because their components have different owners and dates. Attach the responsible address and observation wording. If one sentence contains several claims, split it into separate clocks. A precise label allows later review to test the same fact rather than replacing it with a nearby piece of information that happens to remain available.
Mark the owner before setting a review trigger
The Bank of Botswana owns its published register, consumer and currency statements within their displayed scope. A provider owns its controlled product description and the proposal it issues. An applicant owns household records and must verify changes with the relevant institution. One owner cannot silently refresh another's claim. For example, a current register observation does not update an old fee note, and a product page cannot revise a regulator entry. Record the owner prominently so the next reviewer knows where to look and what cannot be concluded.
Distinguish the observation date from the publication date
The checked date records when Credizen saw the material. A page may display its own issue or update date, which should be captured separately when relevant. Neither proves that every statement changed on that day. Preserve version cues, headings and context needed to identify the observation. A functioning URL only shows present accessibility; it does not certify freshness. If no reliable publication date appears, say so rather than inventing one. The clock begins with what is known and uses uncertainty as a reason for review, not as permission to guess.
Set faster alarms for changeable commercial fields
Rates, fees, insurance, eligibility, channel access, amounts, terms and processing descriptions can change or depend on the applicant. They need confirmation close to the decision and, for personal values, a current responsible written proposal. Do not reuse a BWP figure because another page remains stable. A missing update date does not make a commercial term permanent. The alarm should state the event requiring review: comparison, application, revised offer or signing. If confirmation is unavailable, remove the field from calculation and label it unknown.
Treat legal identity and currency as separate clocks
The licensed-bank observation and the Pula context usually answer more stable institutional questions, but they still carry checked dates and narrow boundaries. The Bank of Botswana currency page identifies the Pula; use BWP when a stated amount is in that denomination. It does not confirm a provider's product currency. Likewise, a legal listing does not authenticate every app, intermediary or payment destination. Review identity again when names conflict or a new channel appears. Stable context reduces repeated work but never lends authority to unrelated personal terms.
Compare later wording without erasing the earlier record
When a new observation arrives, place it beside the earlier one. Identify additions, removals, changed labels and differences in scope. Do not assume that missing wording was deliberately withdrawn or that a new phrase applies retrospectively. Preserve both dates when the change matters to a decision or correction. If the pages conflict, ask the responsible owner and suspend the affected claim. This side-by-side method exposes drift and prevents the latest convenient sentence from rewriting what a reader may have seen earlier.
Refresh the proposal at the point of commitment
Before signing, obtain the final proposal, schedule and related compulsory-cost wording through an authenticated provider channel. Confirm legal creditor, named service, amount, denomination, rate basis, fees, insurance, security, term, payment dates, net proceeds and total payment. Compare them with the version used in the household decision. A changed BWP amount or date requires the cash-flow and resilience tests to be run again. Verbal reassurance cannot override the final documents. Stop if a material field remains unresolved or the versions fail to reconcile.
Retire evidence that can no longer carry the claim
Mark a note retired when its owner, wording, date or scope is too uncertain for current use. Keep it in the audit trail if needed, but remove it from active tables, totals and recommendations. Retirement does not accuse the source of being wrong; it states that the observation no longer supports this decision. Replace it only with responsible evidence, not a secondary summary or a typical value. A visibly empty active field is safer than a polished figure whose clock has expired.
Close the clock with a reproducible status
Use confirmed for the stated narrow claim, refresh required, conflict, unknown or retired. Record the next action, owner and date. Another reviewer should be able to reach the same status from the stored public evidence without private documents. Credizen can update its wording and citations but cannot refresh an account, approve an application or interpret a contract for the parties. The reader still needs an authenticated written proposal and a household test. A freshness status governs evidence use; it never becomes a provider ranking.
