How Credizen verifies personal loan information for Malawi

This personal loan methodology keeps each Malawi claim attached to the authority able to support it. Credizen checks Malawi borrowing information one claim at a time. Each statement is paired with the authority able to prove it, the exact page or document location, the date reviewed and a written limit on what the source does not prove. Reserve Bank of Malawi material can support supervision context, current bank-list identity, national currency information and the complaint sequence described on its consumer page. An institution-controlled product page can support only the name and description visible there. Official statistics can support a locality fact only when the place, boundary, date and figure match the proposed wording. A current written quotation and repayment schedule are required for applicant-specific price and payment claims. These evidence roles are not interchangeable. Missing, conflicting or stale information remains unknown or unpublished, and a correction preserves both the earlier statement and the reason it changed. As of 6 August 2026, the required evidence for Malawi provider and city listings is incomplete, so none is published. This methodology explains how content can remain useful without turning incomplete research into availability, suitability or ranking claims.

Start with the exact claim, not a general topic

Every review begins by writing the proposed statement in its narrowest useful form. Is the question whether an institution appears on the Reserve Bank of Malawi's current bank list, whether its own page names a personal loan product, whether the kwacha is Malawi's currency, whether a locality figure comes from an official publication, or what one applicant would repay? A broad label such as loan information hides these differences. The review note records the publisher, exact page or document location, checked date, supported wording and prohibited inference. RBM material may establish supervision context or bank-list identity; it cannot supply a personal quotation. A product page may establish wording visible there; it cannot establish access for every reader. A census may establish a dated population fact; it cannot prove a branch or lending service. A written proposal may establish terms for one request; it cannot create a permanent market statement. A sentence containing two claims that need different evidence is divided. This keeps review and correction precise and prevents a true identity fact from carrying an unsupported promise about cost, availability or approval.

Require independent identity and product evidence

An institution and a named loan are checked separately. Current Reserve Bank of Malawi information must support the institution identity, while a current page controlled by that institution must support the named personal loan description. Both observations need their own date and wording. A supervisor link can assist identity checking; the institution's page provides the product observation. Neither replaces the other. The bank list is not an endorsement or product catalogue, and a product page is not proof of supervisory status. The two institution-controlled pages reviewed for this Malawi work support only limited general statements. They do not safely establish a public provider directory, complete price, applicant eligibility, current availability or local access. Credizen therefore publishes no provider listing as of the checked date. This does not say that researched institutions or products are absent; it says the evidence required for a listing is incomplete. Future wording must still distinguish legal identity, product description and applicant terms. A copied brand, third-party advert or older content block cannot satisfy the checks. Conflicting names, domains or dates stop publication until clearer primary evidence is available.

Use official dated evidence for any locality statement

A city guide requires more than a recognisable name or a population estimate. Evidence must identify the official publisher, locality, geographic boundary, reference date and figure used for inclusion. Visible wording must preserve that date and boundary instead of presenting a census result as current. The National Statistical Office of Malawi identifies the 2018 Population and Housing Census as the sixth such census since independence. This supports the official programme and date. Before a locality can be published, the relevant table and definition must also be independently checked. Credizen publishes no Malawi city listing because that connection is incomplete. A missing listing does not imply that a settlement is small or lacks financial services. Population evidence can never prove a bank branch, product, application channel, special price, easier approval or faster disbursement. Those claims need separate current evidence. Later review must resolve spelling, administrative classification and repeated place names explicitly. Figures from different boundaries or years are not averaged. A replacement source does not silently overwrite an earlier observation; the record identifies the affected place, old and new evidence, reason and date so that only the supported statement changes.

Separate national currency context from proposal terms

The Reserve Bank of Malawi states that the kwacha has been Malawi's currency since 1971. Credizen uses that fact only for national context. It cannot assume the currency of a specific proposal, account, fee or repayment. The current written document must identify the obligation's currency, and that wording remains unchanged. No exchange rate is invented and unlike denominations are not converted to create a winner. Principal, deductions, net proceeds, interest basis, compulsory fees, insurance, security, payment dates, instalments, total repayment, late consequences, settlement conditions, quotation validity, eligibility and availability are separate claims. Each needs current evidence for the exact product and request. A calculator may help frame a private question, but its output is not a quotation. General examples or percentages are not carried into the guide as though they applied to every reader. A blank remains unknown rather than zero or free. Ambiguous wording causes the claim to be withheld while written clarification is requested. This preserves the difference between a public description and terms an institution may offer, and explains why a comparison is complete, provisional or impossible.

Compare only documents prepared for the same request

A fair comparison fixes the household question before responses are examined. The amount, purpose, currency question, repayment window and review date are supplied consistently. Each institution is asked for principal, deductions, net proceeds, interest calculation, compulsory charges, insurance, security, due dates, instalment pattern, total repayment, late consequences and early-settlement treatment. Original documents are preserved. Credizen does not fill one response from another source or change inputs after seeing an attractive headline. If amount, currency or duration differs, proposals remain unmatched until equivalent written information arrives. Scheduled outflows may be totalled and checked against the institution's stated total; a difference remains a question for the issuer, not an editorial correction. Evidence completeness and household affordability are reviewed separately. A complete proposal can still be unaffordable, while an apparently low cost cannot be trusted when fields are absent. The household test uses dependable income, essentials, existing commitments, actual payment dates and a reserve, followed by a difficult-month check. No universal ratio decides the result. The conclusion applies only to the stated documents and circumstances and cannot become a permanent ranking or approval forecast.

Treat conflicts, expiry and corrections as evidence events

Every material observation has a review date. A source can disappear, a description can change, a supervisor can amend information and a quotation can expire. The affected statement then returns to review instead of continuing because it once appeared correct. Conflicting figures are not averaged. Both sources, publishers and dates are preserved while stronger primary evidence or written clarification is sought. A provider correction stays linked to the original so its reason and effect remain visible. If amount, currency, duration, charges or repayment dates change, the earlier comparison is repeated. Corrections are limited to affected claims; one change must not silently alter unrelated text. The record identifies the page, old wording, replacement evidence, new wording, reviewer, date and reason. Readers may report a suspected error with the affected address, disputed sentence and current public evidence, without sending identity documents or account records. A checked date does not promise that a source will remain unchanged. Before deciding, reopen official information, obtain current written documents and compare the agreement with the quotation. Evidence that cannot be re-established returns to unknown or is removed. Accuracy depends on restraint as well as new facts.

Review clarity, search usefulness and complaint guidance independently

A factually supported draft receives separate editorial review. The title and opening must answer a Malawi reader's question, headings must follow a natural order, sources must sit beside supported claims and limitations must remain visible. English should sound natural for the audience and never imply that Credizen lends, arranges applications, accepts payment for position or predicts approval. Repeated generic sections and numbered filler are rejected. Links are checked, and question-and-answer markup is used only when the same answers are visible. Another review checks that the wording does not reproduce a different country's structure or promise. Complaint guidance receives special attention. RBM consumer information describes contacting the provider first, using its internal appeal process and then approaching the Registrar if the consumer remains dissatisfied. The page cannot predict an outcome or time. It tells readers to preserve the disputed document, dates, correspondence, acknowledgement and reference number, and to follow current official submission instructions. Publication proceeds only when factual support, clear language, reader intent, accessibility and limitations agree. Otherwise the statement stays withheld and the existing public page remains unchanged.
