Verified local facts
Create a chronology from actual provider communications and account evidence. A request for a callback is an enquiry, not an application. An upload receipt is not a completeness finding; completeness is not assessment; assessment is not a positive decision; an offer is not applicant acceptance; and acceptance does not prove disbursement or cash receipt. CBZ's reviewed Consumer Loan page publishes application items but no decision, approval or payout duration. Stanbic's reviewed page uses vague marketing wording about processing in a short period and access within hours, but provides no measured service level or stage definitions. Preserve that wording narrowly and do not convert it into a deadline.
Evidence and limitations
Keep the official product page and checked date, enquiry reference, submission acknowledgement, clarification requests, completeness message if one exists, decision or offer, applicant acceptance, conditions, repayment schedule, disbursement notice and account evidence of received funds. Reserve Bank consumer material supports clear and updated information and requests for explanation. Its loan-agreement bulletin identifies conditions precedent, the disbursement condition, security and the repayment schedule as matters to read before signing. Those sources support separating agreement and funding stages, but they do not state an application turnaround for CBZ or a measurable applicant-specific Stanbic deadline.
Questions before signing
A marketing phrase can become a false clock when its start, finish and conditions are not defined. Do not translate within hours into a number, treat short period as an approval time, or apply Stanbic wording to CBZ or the Zimbabwe market. Do not infer that silence means rejection, that a callback means review has started, or that an offer guarantees payout. A provider may request clarification or updated evidence, and a later agreement may contain conditions not visible on a public page. Never schedule an essential payment against unconfirmed loan proceeds. The timeline cannot promise approval, funding, availability, a complaint deadline or a maximum response time without a current official source for that exact claim.
Decision checklist
Open one row per evidenced event with event type, provider, product, actor, observed date and time, exact message, supporting record and next unresolved question. Mark duration unknown unless a current named-product source states a measurable interval for the same stage and conditions. For Stanbic, record the published vague wording as provider wording checked on its date, explicitly not a deadline, measurable service level or promise. For CBZ, record that the reviewed product page supplies no timing for the stages in scope. Ask the provider in writing for applicant-specific next steps, preserve updates and close payout only when the relevant disbursement and receipt evidence supports it.
Define the stages before recording time
Use separate states for enquiry, application submission, document receipt, provider-confirmed completeness, assessment, decision or offer, applicant acceptance, outstanding conditions, disbursement and payout evidence. Record only the event a source supports. A message can acknowledge receipt without saying the file is complete, and a complete file can still await assessment. An offer can require acceptance and further conditions before funds move. This state model is a Credizen editorial ledger, not a Reserve Bank workflow or a claim that every provider uses the same labels. If the provider uses different wording, preserve it and map it cautiously without promoting the event to a later state.
Keep an enquiry separate from an application
Stanbic's current Unsecured Personal Loan page displays a Product Enquiry Form inviting contact and a separate Apply online link. Record a callback request as enquiry sent and any response according to its actual wording. Do not call it an application, completeness check or approval. If an applicant later follows the official application process, create a new event and retain the enquiry reference if it is relevant. Other providers may structure contact differently, so this is a named-product observation rather than a market rule. Verify the current official destination before sharing records, and do not treat a consultant's promised contact as evidence that assessment has begun or will finish by a particular time.
Do not promote document receipt to assessment
Attach the provider acknowledgement to the submission event and quote what it confirms. If it says only received, leave completeness unresolved. If the provider asks for another record, create a clarification event and a new document version. CBZ and Stanbic currently publish document items for their named products, but a public list does not establish that an individual file is complete, accepted or under assessment. The provider must communicate those later states. Record no elapsed-time target from the document list. Reserve Bank guidance supports accurate, current information and explanations; it does not make a submitted checklist an eligibility result or establish a decision date.
Separate a decision or offer from acceptance
Preserve the provider's message and identify whether it is a decline, request, conditional indication, quotation, offer or another status. Do not turn a discussion of possible terms into approval. For an offer, record its date, stated validity, principal, currency, deductions, repayment schedule, charges, conditions and unanswered terms from provider-issued documents. Applicant acceptance is a later event supported by the actual signed or confirmed process. A positive message is not evidence that funds have moved. Reserve Bank loan guidance supports reading the complete agreement, security, schedule and default consequences before signing; it does not convert marketing or an informal message into a binding disbursement promise.
Separate acceptance, disbursement and payout
After acceptance, list each condition still stated by the provider, who must satisfy it and what evidence will confirm completion. Preserve the disbursement condition and destination account from the agreement. A disbursement notice records the provider's stated action; payout or receipt should be supported by the relevant account evidence and reconciled with the approved principal and deductions. Do not plan a payment from expected proceeds before receipt is confirmed. The RBZ bulletin identifies conditions precedent and the disbursement condition among matters to understand in a loan agreement. That supports the stage boundary, not a claim that acceptance always results in funding or that every transfer arrives within a standard period.
Keep vague provider timing out of the deadline column
The reviewed CBZ Consumer Loan page publishes no decision, approval or payout duration. The reviewed Stanbic page says processing occurs within a short period and that a customer may access the loan within hours of applying. Record those phrases only as dated Stanbic provider wording. They state no number of hours, measured service level, start event, completeness rule, assessment condition, acceptance step or applicant-specific deadline. They are not a promise and cannot be transferred to CBZ or another product. Ask the relevant provider for the next event and expected timing in writing. Until a measurable current answer exists for that case, keep approval and payout time unknown.
