Begin with the exact question the evidence must answer
Credizen starts by stating the claim narrowly. A reader may need to know whether a named bank is recognised, whether a product name appears on that bank's own Zimbabwe website, whether a place meets the population rule for a city guide, or what a particular borrowing proposal would cost. Those are different questions and they require different evidence. The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe can support institutional identity. A bank-controlled product page can support the product name and description visible there. ZIMSTAT can support a published population total. Only a current written quotation and repayment schedule can support applicant-specific commercial terms. The date matters in every case because a correct observation can later become stale. Credizen records who published the information, where it appeared, when it was checked and the limited statement it supports. The wording is then kept inside that boundary. A regulator record cannot supply a product price, a product page cannot predict approval, a population table cannot promise service in a town, and an explanation written by Credizen cannot stand in for a bank's contract. This separation prevents a collection of individually plausible details from becoming one unsupported promise.
Verify the institution before examining its product
Identity review comes before offer review. Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe consolidated information dated 31 December 2025 lists CBZ Bank Limited and Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe Limited, together with domains controlled by those institutions. We use this record solely to establish legal identity and recorded banking category. Separate publisher-controlled pages supply offer names: CBZ presents a Consumer Loan, while Stanbic Zimbabwe presents an Unsecured Personal Loan. These observations allow research to start; they reveal nothing about a person's possible amount, denomination, complete expense, qualification, accessibility or application outcome. Anyone approaching either provider should begin through its verified domain, then match the legal institution shown on every proposal and agreement. Brand recognition alone carries no evidential weight because a logo, offer name or copied message may circulate outside its genuine origin. Unexpected contact details, a different beneficiary, inconsistent entity wording or an unexplained document channel stops review until direct confirmation arrives. This two-stage procedure also prevents supervision status from being misread as suitability. Recognition tells readers who operates a service, while dated contractual material must answer what that service would mean for their own request.
Use population evidence only for the place it describes
City selection begins with ZIMSTAT's 2022 Population and Housing Census distribution tables. Credizen retains a locality only when the published unit and its population can be identified, the reference year is recorded and the total is strictly above 50,000. The current Zimbabwe selection contains seventeen qualifying rows. That rule gives readers a consistent reason why one urban guide appears and another does not, but the conclusion remains narrow. A population total does not prove that CBZ or Stanbic has a branch in that place, that either product can be requested there, that residents receive different terms or that a local application will be accepted. Those questions must go back to the bank through an official channel. Where a place name, boundary or classification could be confused with another geographic unit, Credizen keeps the wording used by the published table and avoids merging totals. A later census or official correction prompts a fresh review. Until then, the 2022 reference year stays visible so that a reader is not led to treat the total as a current estimate.
Keep every missing commercial value visible
A missing official value is a finding, not an invitation to guess. If the checked material does not establish an applicant's amount, currency, complete interest cost, compulsory fees, insurance, repayment period, instalment, total repayment, eligibility, approval or current availability, Credizen labels that field unknown. It does not turn absence into zero, free, unlimited or unavailable, and it does not import a figure from another country or an expired campaign. Currency receives the same treatment. The sources selected for this candidate do not establish the exact currency wording that would apply to each reader's future quotation. The page therefore asks the reader to copy the obligation exactly as the bank states it and refuses to merge offers that are not expressed on the same basis. Unknown does not mean that a product lacks the field; it means that the evidence checked by Credizen cannot responsibly fill it. The next action is practical: request a dated written quotation and repayment schedule from each bank. If an important field remains missing after that request, the comparison remains incomplete rather than presenting an invented answer.
Pause when evidence changes, conflicts or disappears
Information remains usable only while its source can still support it. Credizen records the date and exact statement observed, then rechecks an affected claim when a legal name, official domain, product name or dated document changes. A page that becomes unreadable cannot continue supporting a current product merely because it worked in an earlier review. ZB Bank shows this boundary. Its legal identity can be found in the Reserve Bank material, but the product page previously associated with the provider record was not readable during the current product check. Credizen therefore excludes that product from the homepage comparison instead of carrying it forward silently. When two sources disagree, the figures are not averaged and the newer-looking statement does not win automatically. Both versions, their publishers and their dates are kept while the claim is narrowed. Publication waits for a stronger primary source or direct written clarification. If a bank corrects a quotation, the original and correction remain linked, and the revised version is used only after checking that the requested amount, currency question, repayment period and review date still match the other offer.
Compare only matched written quotations
A personal loan evaluation begins with one fixed scenario. CBZ and Stanbic receive an identical requested sum, denomination question, payment window and review date. Each response should identify principal, deductions, net proceeds, interest basis, compulsory charges, insurance, due dates, instalment pattern, aggregate outflow, early-settlement treatment and consequences of a missed payment. Researchers transcribe those details without completing one provider's gaps from another source. A changed input makes the pair unmatched until equivalent evidence is obtained again. A smaller instalment is never labelled cheaper merely because payments continue for longer, and response speed says nothing about approval. Any calculation prepared by us displays its inputs and timestamp and must reconcile with the provider's own schedule; an unexplained difference becomes a written query. Supervised status likewise proves identity rather than household suitability. Findings apply only to two dated documents and one stated scenario. They cannot create a permanent ranking. A defensible outcome might favour one proposal for that request, reject both after affordability review, or state that reliable comparison remains impossible. This wording preserves uncertainty instead of converting incomplete material into a winner.
Test the household decision and preserve corrections
A complete quotation still does not decide whether borrowing is affordable. Credizen keeps the household test separate from the bank's assessment. Dependable income, housing, food, utilities, transport, health, education, support for dependants and existing debts are placed on their actual dates, together with a reserve. Each proposed instalment is then tested in an ordinary month and in a difficult but plausible month. This does not forecast the future or set a universal affordability ratio. It asks whether the household can meet essentials if income is delayed or an unavoidable cost appears. If repayment depends on uncertain overtime, removes money needed for essentials or leaves no workable reserve, the responsible result may be to reduce the request, wait or decline both offers. Credizen also keeps a clear correction trail. A disputed statement is linked to its source and review date; newer evidence is recorded; only the affected claim is withdrawn or replaced; and the comparison is repeated when the change alters an input. The explanation beside each conclusion must allow another reader to follow the evidence and understand why a value is shown, left unknown or withheld. No conclusion promises approval, speed or availability.
