Modus:

"Approved na ang โ‚ฑ30,000 mo! Pero kailangan mo muna magbayad ng โ‚ฑ3,000 processing fee para ma-release ang pera."

Bakit Scam:

WALANG legitimate lender na hihinging pera bago mag-approve ng loan. Lahat ng fees ay deducted from the loan amount pagkatapos ma-approve, HINDI advance payment.

Modus:

Ang lending app o company ay walang BSP registration number sa website, sa app, o sa loan agreement.

Bakit Scam:

Lahat ng lending companies sa Philippines ay legally required na mag-register sa BSP. Walang exemption. Kung walang CA number, illegal operations yan.

Modus:

Bakit Scam:

Walang legitimate lender na mag-aalok ng malalaking loans nang walang requirements at 0% interest. Banking/lending is a business - kailangan nila kumita.

Modus:

Ang app ay nag-re-request ng access sa: SMS, call logs, photos, contacts, camera, microphone, location - lahat.

Bakit Scam:

Legitimate lending apps ay kailangan lang ng camera (ID verification) at contacts (emergency reference). Kung nag-a-access ng SMS at photos - red flag yan. Ginagamit nila ito para sa extortion at harassment.

Modus:

Pinapag-download ka ng APK file mula sa Telegram, Facebook Messenger, WeChat, o sketchy websites - HINDI from Google Play o App Store.

Bakit Scam:

Legitimate apps ay naka-publish sa official app stores. Ang APK files ay pwedeng may malware o spyware. Google Play at Apple App Store ay may verification process.

Modus:

Cellphone number lang (0917-XXX-XXXX) o Facebook Messenger ang contact. Walang office address, landline, o official email.

Bakit Scam:

Legitimate lending companies ay may registered office address (required ng BSP) at customer service hotline. Kung cellphone lang - madaling mag-disappear.

Modus:

"โ‚ฑ5,000 loan for 1 month = โ‚ฑ7,500 total repayment" โ†’ That's 50% interest in 1 month = 600% per year!

Bakit Scam:

BSP ay may interest rate caps. Typical legitimate rates: 1.5-6% per month (18-72% per annum). Kung lagpas dito, likely illegal lender yan.

Modus:

May nag-PM sa iyo sa Facebook groups: "Need loan po? Message me agad!"

Bakit Scam:

Legitimate lenders ay may official Facebook/TikTok business pages with verification badge. Personal accounts na nag-so-solicit - scam yan.

Bakit Scam:

Modus:

"Para ma-verify ang account mo, i-send mo sa akin ang ATM card mo o online banking password."

Bakit Scam:

NEVER hihinging ATM card o password ng legitimate lender. Ginagamit nila ito para magnakaw ng pera sa account mo. Instant report sa NBI kung hinihingi ito.

Modus:

Bakit Scam:

Ang term na "salary loan" ay specifically para sa employed individuals with proof of employment. Kung walang verification - scam yan at ginagamit lang ang term para mag-mukhang legitimate.

Modus:

Bakit Scam:

Ito ay Ponzi scheme na naka-disguise as lending service. Legitimate lenders ay hindi nag-aalok ng investment opportunities - lending lang ang business nila.

Bakit Scam:

Bakit Scam:

Modus Operandi:

  3. 3. "Approved" agad pero kailangan magbayad muna ng โ‚ฑ2,500 "insurance fee"
  4. 4. Nag-send ng โ‚ฑ2,500 via GCash
