Editorial policy
Our commitment to accurate, transparent financial content
Our editorial standards
Credizen Australia is committed to providing accurate, unbiased, and up-to-date information about personal loans and financial products. Our editorial content is created independently of our commercial relationships with lenders.
Content creation process
- Research — All content is based on verified data from official lender websites, Product Disclosure Statements (PDS), and regulatory sources including ASIC MoneySmart.
- Writing — Content is written by experienced financial writers using Australian English conventions and plain language principles.
- Expert review — All financial content is reviewed by Rostislav Sikora, our loan comparison specialist with 25+ years in financial technology.
- Fact-checking — Comparison rates, fees, and product details are verified against lender disclosures before publication.
- Regular updates — Published content is reviewed and updated regularly, with each page displaying a "Last updated" date.
Independence
Credizen receives commissions from lender partners when users successfully apply through our service. However, this commercial relationship does not influence:
- The content of our lender reviews or comparison articles
- The ranking or ordering of lenders in comparison tables
- The information we present about fees, rates, or terms
- Our recommendation methodology
Our comparison methodology is based solely on objective criteria.
Corrections policy
If you identify an error in our content, please contact us at maloni@outlook.com. We will investigate and correct verified errors promptly, noting the correction on the affected page.
Source hierarchy
When we publish or update Australian loan content, we prioritise sources in a strict order so product comparisons stay as close as possible to the original lender and regulatory record.
- Primary lender sources — official lender websites, terms and conditions, Product Disclosure Statements (PDS), Target Market Determinations (TMD), and fee schedules.
- Regulatory sources — ASIC MoneySmart, AFCA, and official legislative or licensing references relevant to personal lending in Australia.
- Supporting market context — public guidance that helps explain comparison rates, responsible lending expectations, and borrower protections.
What triggers a content update
Australian finance content is reviewed when there is a meaningful reason to believe the published information may no longer reflect the market or regulatory position.
- Changes to lender comparison rates, fees, loan ranges, or approval process
- Updates to ASIC guidance, AFCA complaints pathways, or responsible lending expectations
- Material product changes affecting borrower suitability or repayment flexibility
- Internal quality checks identifying stale comparisons, broken disclosures, or unclear copy
How corrections are handled
When a factual issue is reported, we review the page against the original source, update the affected content if the issue is confirmed, and refresh the visible “Last updated” information. If the correction materially changes pricing, eligibility, or legal framing, we prioritise the page for immediate editorial review.
Regulatory compliance
All content complies with ASIC's requirements for financial comparison services. We ensure:
- Comparison rates are displayed alongside advertised rates
- Comparison rate warnings are included as required
- No misleading claims about guaranteed approval or no credit checks
- Clear disclosure that Credizen is not a lender and does not provide financial advice
- References to ASIC MoneySmart and AFCA for independent guidance
